Instagram Hashtags no longer work. This strategy is not recommended.
This is a harsh and difficult statement to take in. . . But it is true. Let’s not waste our time.
What’s a Hashtag?
When you add the hash symbol or “#”, a word becomes a hashtag.
You can now use a Keyword that is relevant for your niche, and then add the “#” symbol. This will give you a hashtag that will help you gain visibility.
Let’s take, for example, the Marketing industry.
Is #marketing a useful hashtag?
Here’s what the #marketing heading looks like
You will first notice the number of hashtags posted by this group, which is nearly 29,000,000 hashtags.
Trust me, you’re wasting your time with this hashtag, even if it’s relevant to your niche. Your content will not be seen unless you are @garyvee and @grantcardone
It is important to identify Micro Niche hashtags.
This strategy will be discussed in a later post.
Why should hashtags be used?
Marketers agree that hashtags that are relevant to your niche will help increase visibility for your content. You will have a greater chance of engaging users through your Social Media channels if you are more visible.
What’s the most valuable Social Media Engagement?
This is how Influencers rate Social Media Engagement:
Influencers need comments from their followers that are relevant to the post These Influencers are looking to build real followers within their niche, who will continue to comment and follow posts.
Finally, influencers need post and video views and likes. Social Media Comments from niche users are more valuable than “Likes” and even “Followers”.
Comments are better than likes and followers
It takes very little effort to Like or Follow an Instagram account. The Instagram algorithm automatically recognizes it as either a “Win”, or a “Fail” and will notify you accordingly.
You can lose one follower who does not respond to your posts if they are inactive. Your engagement score is decreasing, social media algorithms are working against you.
This formula can be used to calculate your engagement score:
[(likes + comments on the last 10 posts, excluding most recent one/10)/number followers] x 100. Exemple: * 15,000 total Likes (total for the last 10 posts, excluding those most recent), * 2,000 total Comments (total for the last 10 posts, excluding those most recent), * 30,000 Followers Formula: [(17,000/ 10/ 30,000] + 100 = 5.66% Engagement rate

It is important to identify Micro Niche hashtags.
This strategy will be discussed in a later post.
Where can I find the best hashtags?
First, the best hashtags to sell women’s handbags won’t be the same as those for affiliate marketing.
There are not hashtags that work in all niches. The most respected marketers worldwide recommend that you use ” the Most Popular Hashtags.”
This is bad advice that can contribute to the reason your hashtags no longer work.
You should avoid using the Most Popular hashtags. It can lead to your account being blocked. Find out why using some of the Most Popular Hashtags is a terrible idea in the section below titled “What are Bad Hashtags?”
Let’s take, for example, the Instagram hashtag #instagood. It has 992,541,430 photos – almost one billion. You won’t be visible if you have a hashtag group that has almost a billion posts.
It is important to identify Micro Niche hashtags.
This strategy will be discussed in a later post.
What are the worst hashtags?
It is a waste to use hashtags that don’t relate to your post. It is a sign that you don’t understand the niche in which you are operating or, simply, you don’t know what your job is.
Bad hashtag
The hashtag group #bikinigirl has many examples of hashtags. What does the middle post featuring the bearded man in the middle have to do the #bikinigirl hashtag, for example?
Instagram can also ban hashtags, which could cause your post to be removed or edited. The use of pornagraphic hashtags is prohibited and such hashtags are strictly restricted.
What happens if I try to use a restricted hashtag
Ex. #excitada, for example, is a restricted hashtag. Scrolling through the hashtag group will reveal this message:
“Recent Instagram posts from #excitada have been hidden due to community reporting some content that may not be in line with Instagram’s community guidelines.”
You should carefully choose your hashtags and make sure they relate to your post. Your content should be relevant to the interests of your followers.
How many hashtags should you use in a single post?
You can use up to 30 hashtags in Instagram posts, but increasing your hashtag usage will not increase engagement.
Hootsuite has published a recent article that shows how engagement drops drastically if you use more than 10 hashtags. This is why more than 9 hashtags aren’t working! !
The graph below was created by Hootsuite and shows the relationship between average engagement per post and the number of hashtags that are used.
This valuable information has taught me that we should use 9 hashtags per posting. Use 9 carefully chosen hashtags to increase my post visibility. I cannot waste my valuable time on this post!
What’s the best strategy to use hashtags?
